As winter is upon us, anyone with kids (especially toddlers) is on the hunt for good indoor playgrounds and play cafes. Personally, I’m always looking for new places all around the area where we can play indoors. It’s helpful to know of good indoor playgrounds for summer, too! Those hot days can be just as hard as the cold winter months.
One of the reasons we love living in Tosa is that we are centrally located between all of the Milwaukee suburbs. That means that we’re open to exploring indoor playgrounds and play cafes from Oak Creek to the Eastside out to Oconomowoc.
This guide provides a quick overview of the ones that just happen to be on our bucket list this winter. Some of these we’ve been to in the past (Little Sprouts, Kids in Motion) and some of them I’ve heard good things about (The Children’s Play Gallery, Kith & Kin) and some are brand new to me (Chasing Tales).
Little Sprouts Play Cafe
Little Sprouts is an indoor play cafe in Shorewood. Their play cafe is ideal for children up to 6 years old. Young kids will love the imagination inspired play. Parents will love our free Stone Creek coffee and free WI-FI. The play space features toys and structures meant to inspire your child’s imagination.

Their goal is to constantly renew and refresh the gallery, always giving children a chance to learn and discover when they come in.

The Big Backyard
Run, climb, ride, slide, and have a blast at their indoor playground. The Big Backyard brings the outdoors inside with huge play equipment, riding toys, balls, playhouses, infant toys, and more. You will find the most appropriate ages for the indoor playground are children ages 0-8; however, we always welcome older children who come with their families.

I hope to make it to all of these indoor playgrounds over the next few months. I’ll be sure to share a review of each of them as we check them out. As always, if you have any other recommendations for us to check out, send them my way on the contact form.
