Another year, another fantastic Cookies with Santa event with the MKE Moms Blog! This year the event was held in two different sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. That was a brilliant idea because the event wasn’t crowded at all – and we all know that is truly what makes a good kids event.
The event overall, wasn’t a whole lot different from last year. Similar to last year, when you walk in there are tables set up in the main check-in room for cookie decorating. The event is centered around cookies and there were tons of different cookie decorating supplies.
One of the nicer parts of the event is that they separate Santa and the cookie decorating from all of the other activities so it breaks up the crowds and feels more open. The back room was filled with sponsors and tables with activities for the kids. Some activities included face painting (which Noah hates so we have no pictures), canvas painting, tons of different crafts, ornament making, a foam pool, a photo wall and, our favorite, the princesses from Fairytale Birthday Co.
Similar to last year, they had visits with Santa on a schedule where you get a 30-minute window for your family to see Santa. Your time window is based on when you arrive and check-in at the event. This process works out SO well and it really makes seeing Santa incredibly bearable for the whole family. For us, this Santa experience is really what makes this event. It’s, by far, the best place to see Santa during the holidays – in my opinion.
Each kid gets a couple minutes with Santa and Lulu B. Photography was on site taking professional photos. You can also take your own photos, which is excellent and not always the case with Santa events.
There are so many Christmas and Santa events in the month of December. It can often be hard to choose which ones are worth your time and cost. The MKE Moms Blog Cookies with Santa Event is one I would absolutely recommend next year. But make sure you keep an eye out for tickets, because they sell out very quickly.
