This winter Noah had his very first experience on a ski hill! Chris has always been a snowboarder and has been looking forward to bringing Noah out to the ski hill for years. We’re actually pretty lucky because we have lots of ski hills for kids around Milwaukee!
Little Switzerland (Slinger)
105 Cedar Creek Rd | Slinger, WI 53086 | https://www.littleswitz.com
Great for beginners, Little Switzerland ski resort has a huge area for young skiers and snowboarders. They can use the magic carpet to quickly get to the top of the hill. For more experienced skiers, they have two sides of the hill – one with easier slopes and one with harder slopes.
Tip: Purchase your lift tickets in advance to save! Also, kids under 6 are free!
The Rock Snow Park
7011 S Ballpark Drive | Franklin, WI 53132 | https://www.rocksnowpark.com
The Rock is definitely the closest hill to Milwaukee and most convenient for a quick afternoon out on the hill. They offer full downhill skiing and snowboarding with lift service, towrope, and two handle tows. They also have a fun tubing area!
Tip: If you’re going to be hitting the slopes a lot this year, consider an annual pass. The Rock and Little Switzerland are owned and operated by the same company and you can use their pass at both hills!
Alpine Ski Resort
W2501 County Road D | Elkhorn, WI 53121 | http://www.alpinevalleyresort.com
A little further from Milwaukee, Alpine is great for both beginners and veteran skiers. They are known for their ski school and have classes for all ages.
Sunburst
8355 Prospect Drive | Kewaskum, WI 53040 | https://skisunburst.com
Sunburst is known for it’s tubing but is also a great location to ski or snowboard. They have 11 different trails and a huge terrain park.
Winter in Milwaukee is finally here so take advantage of the {few} sunny days and get the kiddos out to the ski hill! What are other ski hills for kids around the area that we should be sure to check out? Share them in the comments!
