It’s officially winter in Milwaukee. That doesn’t mean you can’t still get fresh veggies, meats and other goodies from our local farmers and business. The Milwaukee Winter Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 9:00AM-1:00PM now until April 14th, 2018 at the Greenhouse Annex at the Mitchell Park Conservatory (the Domes).
The Milwaukee Winter Farmer’s Market brings together 50 weekly vendors that offer fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, poultry and dairy products. Local food vendors also bring a wide variety of freshly baked goods, jams, cider, honey, maple syrup, sorghum, sauces and soups, as well as delicious global cuisine.
We have a few favorite vendors that we always stop by whenever we visit the farmer’s market. They are also our favorites in the summer, at the Wauwatosa Farmer’s Market.

While we didn’t get many veggies or bakery items on this trip, there are lots of vendors that had plenty to offer. Check out the full list of vendors here.
A helpful tip: get there early! The market opens at 9AM and fills up very quickly. We got there right at 9AM and there was a flood of people into the market. If you’re going to be eating breakfast, grab some food and coffee right away. There are only three small tables in the back (next to Press). They tend to be hard to come by so don’t hesitate to snatch one up.
If you’re looking for another winter farmer’s market to check out, there is also an Oconomowoc winter farmer’s market that is open Saturdays now through March 25th. It is in a new location this year – the Oconomowoc High School Cafeteria, 641 E. Forest St.
