Confession: I’m a cheese lover! I’m a sucker for a soft, creamy goat cheese. Chris is well aware of this addiction and supports my cheese love to the fullest extent. In fact, for my birthday last year, he brought be a cheese plate instead of a box of chocolates or desserts. Yum!

When we heard about the Village Cheese Shop cheese classes, we knew we wanted to go to one. When we saw they had a goat & sheep class, we couldn’t pass it up!

Their cheese classes are one hour long classes where you learn about different kinds of cheese, while tasting some different varieties. You some history, a little about the cheese making processes and flavors. The classes are intimate, educational and fun!

Village Cheese Shop Goat & Cheese Class
Their classes range from $25-30/person, depending on the class. The Goat & Sheep Class was $25 and included a plate of cheese to sample and a glass of wine (or beer). We got there a little bit early and also ordered a meat plate to pair with it. It was a nice little addition to the class. There is also a little packet of information with a variety of content – flavors, history, varieties and details on each of the cheeses being sampled.

After the class you can also purchase any of the cheeses, meats, wines, etc. We took home a bottle of red and some of the sheep cheese from Landmark Creamery that we tried. It was amazing (I’m eating it as I write this, of course).

If you haven’t been to the Village Cheese Shop yet, you’re definitely missing out! It’s our go-to place for cheese. Their staff is beyond knowledgeable and helpful in assisting their customers with picking the right cheese(s).

Not only do they offer meats and cheese, they have a huge wine display and cheese accessories and boards.

The Village Cheese Shop cheese classes make the perfect date night activity. We will absolutely be going to another class again in the future!
